With Easter upon us next week, and it now being slow season, many of us have the opportunity to take a brief vacation.

I'd like to hear your recommendations of where to go for the next two weeks.

Anyone have an opinion on that new Barcelo resort out in Orosi, Cartago?

I'll be working...

Here's a recommendation (you gotta be willing to spend $$$ though...)

Hotel Parador

I personally rather go to the beach on weekdays and not on holidays...

I will be staying at home since too many Ticos will be at the beach this week. Nothing against the ticos, but they trash the beaches like there is no tomorrow.

ANGELLE: (from Hotel Parador)...

Costa Rica, Hotel Parador is a luxury hotel located near Costa Rica’s Manuel Antonio National Park in Quepos. Quepos is located in Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast, where you can enjoy a wide variety of adventures and activities.

Let us take you to a place you thought never existed.
An untouched paradise; where birds fly free, dolphins swim wild, monkeys rule the forests, and humans live in peace: "COSTA RICA", "THE RICH COAST".

Costa Rica, a country abundantly blessed by nature, is located at the heart of the Central American Isthmus. Twenty-seven percent (27%) of its territory is comprised of legally protected wildlife areas contained within national parks, wildlife reserves and refuges, owing to its 95 different types of sub-climates and 55 types of bioclimates. This explains how 5% of all the earth's biodiversity is concentrated in this 19,739 square mile land area that is teeming with life.
In the Pacific Coastal Region of this small picturesque Central American country hides a "gem of tropical splendor" …..awaited to be discovered by you!…"

Let me tell U this place is just GREAT !! My dad used to work there and we used to spend a lot of time @ the hotel.
U can be sure that, if U go there, U and your fiends will have a WONDERFULLLLLLLLLLLLL time !!!

ENJOY !!!

Sorry I didn't get back to you before Angelle... I used to go to Jaco too (when I didn't have a car) because everything is so accessible, and it's the closest beach to San Jose, but you definetely gotta try Manuel Antonio, the beach is beautiful, and since it's a National Park, it's very clean.
Are you in Costa Rica already?

Casa Romano

Just got back from Manuel Antonio and stayed at the Casa Romano. A great option with prices similar to El Parador but with much more privacy. The owner told me that he has had Adam Sandler and N'Sync as guests. Check it out! www.casaromano.net
